Wanting to ride early again today, I began at 7:10, and while the 42° temperature was by no means intolerable, the healthy 17 mph wind out of the west-northwest presented quite a challenge. I didn't notice it so much in the early miles of my ride, which was south and east, but then during the latter half, as I struggled into it, it really cut down my speed.
Since I did a longer ride yesterday (22+ miles), I scaled back today and rode the Platt/Packard Square (13.7 miles) in a brisk time of 1:27. And, going back to my boyhood, I listened to a playlist I've created featuring song hits of the sixties. I was inspired by this t-shirt that I got recently:
