145th outdoor ride of 2021 - Wednesday, 10/13/2021

2021 mileage: 4540.8

I took my time getting going on today's ride, as I wanted to watch TV coverage of this morning private space flight carrying 90-year-old William Shatner (the actor who played Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek) and 3 other colleagues into space. By this, Shatner became the oldest person ever to go into space.

When I left, at 11:30, it was 67° (a reading that climbed to 73° during the ride). I did a round trip to Baker Rd. (for the first time since September 28). However, when i stopped there to turn around and send off a text, I inadvertently stopped the MapMyRide app rather than pausing it, so I end up with two separate videos today (first half of the ride, to Baker Rd., and then second half, returning home).

Anyway, combining the two halves, I had a total ride of 19.3 miles in 2:25.
